Who We Are
EMdot Studio is a boutique architectural & interior design practice delivering luxury interior design, refined elegance, and turnkey project management across Europe and internationally.
 

We serve discerning private clients primarily in ’t Gooi (Laren, Blaricum, Bussum, Hilversum, Naarden) and selectively in Wassenaar, Bloemendaal, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain, Italy, the Benelux, the USA, and Dubai. We are open to exceptional projects worldwide where vision and values align.
Personal Data We Collect

We may collect and process the following types of information:

  • Identity & Contact — name, email, phone number, city/country.

  • Project Information — property type (villa, chalet, penthouse, yacht, branded residence), design preferences, budgets, timelines.

  • Billing & Contract — invoicing data, company information.

  • Technical Data — IP address (anonymised where possible), device/browser type, referring links, cookies, analytics.

  • Files & Visuals — plans, drawings, or imagery you provide to explore collaborations.

  • Communications — emails, phone calls, form submissions.
     

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories (e.g., health, religion, political views).
Our services are not intended for children. We do not knowingly process data of persons under 16.
Why We Collect Your Data


We use your data for:

  1. Evaluating project enquiries
    To respond, assess fit, and manage selective availability.

  2. Paid Proposal & Vision Study
    To prepare preliminary concepts and project roadmaps.

  3. Contracted services
    To deliver full architectural & interior design, technical drawings, construction supervision, permit support, and turnkey execution.

  4. Project management
    To coordinate trusted contractors, artisans, and suppliers.

  5. Business operations
    To process invoices, comply with tax/legal duties, and maintain records.

  6. Website experience
    To analyse usage (Google Analytics/Wix Analytics) and improve content.
     

Trusted Network & Liability
We work only with a carefully selected, trusted network of service providers, suppliers, and contractors. Each is chosen based on reputation and proven results.

  • We recommend and coordinate them for quality and efficiency.

  • Clients are never obligated to use only our network.

  • Each third-party remains independently responsible for their contracts and liabilities.

  • EMdot Studio does not accept financial liability for their obligations.

This ensures you benefit from discretion and expertise, while maintaining flexibility and clarity.

Legal Basis
We process personal data under:

  • Contract — steps to enter into or perform a contract with you.

  • Legal obligation — compliance with Dutch/EU tax, audit, or authority requests.

  • Legitimate interests — running our business, safeguarding quality, responding to enquiries.

  • Consent — for cookies/analytics/marketing where required.


Retention

  • Enquiries not proceeding: up to 12 months.

  • Active projects: project duration + 7 years (audit/tax).

  • Financial records: per Dutch legal requirements.

After retention, data is deleted or anonymised.

International Transfers
As an international studio, your data may be processed outside the EU. We apply GDPR-level safeguards for all transfers, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent protections.

Your Rights
Under GDPR and local law, you may request:

  • Correction or deletion

  • Restriction or objection to processing

  • Data portability

  • Withdrawal of consent (for consent-based uses)
