Designed for a single resident with a love for deep tones, a home that explores the elegance and quiet intensity of dark interiors without apology.

Challenging the assumption that dark palettes feel heavy, the design balances anthracite surfaces, dark marble and volcanic stone with warm walnut wood and subtle amber accents, creating an atmosphere that is simultaneously bold and inviting. Custom joinery, integrated storage and carefully layered lighting bring clarity and ease to everyday living, allowing the compact 68m² layout to remain calm, organised and highly functional. Full procurement and supervision were delivered by EMdot Studio from concept through completion.

Rich materials, wood, stone and sculptural surfaces, shape a tactile environment where darkness becomes depth rather than weight, and where each element contributes to a sense of quiet comfort rather than performance.
