A home office and private retreat conceived above a garage, transformed through a 22m² architectural extension with raised roof and exposed timber structure into a space that has become the most-used room in the house.

The clients wanted a workspace that balanced strong, considered character with the sparkling precision of crystal, a room that could be both productive and genuinely pleasurable to occupy. Natural wood, dark paint and a magnificent crystal chandelier create a sophisticated ambiance where the open roof construction allows black and diamond-like brilliance to coexist without conflict. Bookshelves that evoke classic libraries, a stately fireplace, structural coordination and full permit management, all delivered by EMdot Studio.

The result is a room where meetings are conducted by choice rather than necessity. Where the working day and the finer hours of the evening belong to the same space without contradiction.
