Macchiato Design

Inspired by the layered tones of a macchiato it's warmth, balance and the kind of tactile simplicity that makes a 72m² apartment feel genuinely generous.

The design translates coffee hues into a calm palette of warm woods, soft stone and textured fabrics. Natural materials create depth while maintaining visual lightness throughout. 

Despite its modest footprint, the apartment was carefully structured to feel open and highly functional, intelligent storage, bespoke furniture and ergonomic planning allow each zone to serve multiple purposes without compromising clarity. 

Layered lighting was specified from the outset, not as an afterthought, reinforcing the sense of calm and highlighting the material textures throughout. The full design scope from concept through FF&E specification and completion was delivered by EMdot Studio.

Not photographed once and forgotten. Lived in, every day, for years.
